HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR EXTENSIONS
DO'S
- Use the recommended Showpony hair extensions care range.
- Apply conditioner to the mid-lengths and ends only.
- Schedule maintenance every 4-6 weeks.
- Use low heat when drying and styling.
- Secure hair with one hand whilst brushing to avoid tension.
- Rinse hair immediately after swimming in chlorine or salt water.
- Gather hair into a loose plait while sleeping.
- Use metal-free hair ties and low-tension if tying hair up.
- Sleep on a silk pillow case.
- Be gentle when handling your hair extensions.
DON'TS
- Apply Conditioner to the root and where extensions are attached.
- Use any products containing oils, sulphates, strong protein, high alcohol, or ‘plex treatments.
- Sleep on wet hair. Rub or twist hair while towel drying or blow drying.
- Colour, bleach, perm, chemically straighten or use a keratin smoothing treatment.
- Apply heat above 185 degrees to your extensions including the bond.
- Allow hair extensions to come into contact with sunscreen.
- Do not wash your hair or sweat excessively for the first 48-72 following application.
